Parent Workshop - 15th August

In response to an identified need for support from our parent community, the P&C in collaboration with George Bass School have arranged a Puberty Workshop especially for all parents and carers. The workshop will be run by Family Planning NSW to assist us with our kids on Tuesday 15th August between 10am and 12pm. This workshop will aim to increase parent knowledge and confidence to support children with disability to deal with the changes associated with puberty. The workshop will also look closely at ways to support the development and understanding of the concepts of public and private. There will be a range of resources available for purchase including books, fact sheets and DVDs. We hope that this workshop and the development of a partnership with Family Planning NSW will allow us to provide our parent community with ongoing support on this important topic.
